A NEW EXPERIMENTAL MODEL OF PERIODONTITIS IN RATS

چکیده

Background: The global prevalence of periodontal disease in adults is estimated up to 60-90%. Thus, development new methods for diagnosis and treatment periodontitis with their approbation on animal models important. Aim: To create an experimental model rats the best possible simulation clinical manifestations humans according current understanding etiology pathogenesis this disease. Methods: experiment was performed 20 male Wistar (230±20 g). According proposed methodology, modeled by placing a metal ligature gingival margin lower incisors figure eight-shaped manner fixing it alveolar bone thus destroying ameloblastic epithelium. Periodontal inflammation studied clinically histologically. Microcirculation parameters were analyzed Doppler ultrasound. Results: use associated inflammation, hyperperfusion causing oxidative stress destruction: Vas, Vakd Vam significantly increased 40.0% (p=0.007), 60.63% (p=0.005) 83.33% (p=0.005), respectively. Also, there significant decreases Gosling (PI) Stewart (SD) indices: 63.82% (P=0.008) 20.39% (p=0.005). Conclusion: developed easily reproducible similar characteristics humans, decrease modeling time 7 days simplifying developments periodontitis.

The pentadecapeptide BPC 157 has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and wound healing effects on multiple target tissues and organs. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of BPC 157 on inflammation and bone resorption in experimental periodontitis in rats. First the acute effect of BPC was tested on gingival blood flow by laser doppler flowmetry. Then periodontitis wa...
